Is Blake Snyder‘s Save the Cat to blame for the mediocrity of many Hollywood films?

Known script blogger Erik Bork doesn’t think so. No wonder in the cloud tag of his blog Snyder’s name comes out so big.

But Peter Suderman seems to agree in his very interesting article Save the Movie on Slate.com! It’s a fantastic read, with a very clever, revealing twist at the end.  Is Suderman right?
