Akira Kurosawa’s Glorious Storyboards

kurosawa's storyboards - thescriptblog.com

Akira Kurosawa was a filmmaking genius.

A few years ago, when I was working in Madrid, I heard that there was, in some foundation, an exhibition of the Akira Kurosawa’s storyboards and film costumes. I went. It was one of the most impressive experiences I ever had. I bought the catalog of the exhibition. Over time, it has become one of my favourite possessions.

Legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa made himself fantastic paintings that he used as storyboards, real jewels.

Please check the following short video, which shows first the paintings and then the corresponding images of his films.
